Desyo’s systems produce clear aligners, a treatment based on direct or indirect scanning of patient's teeth. The computerised model maps the stages between the current and desired tooth positions, with aligners produced for each stage using advanced 3D printing technology. These aligners are typically worn for 22 hours a day, gradually shifting the teeth into the desired position as agreed upon by the patient and their dental professional. Desyo’s systems produce custom night guards designed to keep the upper and lower teeth apart, preventing tooth wear and reducing grinding noise. The bite plates are gradually worn down during bruxism episodes, protecting the teeth. Many users also report reduced headaches and facial pain. A mouthguard protects the teeth, gums, and jaws, much like a crash helmet for the mouth, minimising the risk of injuries and concussions.
